The Aaronsburg Inn & Spa
Built in the Federal style circa
1802, The Aaronsburg Inn,a State
College, PA area bed and breakfast, was lovingly restored to welcome the
traveler whose pronounced taste for comfort is matched by an unerring eye for
quality. Tucked away in the sleepy village of Aaronsburg, Pennsylvania, the Inn serves a discerning clientele. Those who stay with
us prefer their retreat from the everyday world to be understated, casual, and
above all private. With us, you will find a choice of pleasing rooms furnished
with fine, museum quality antiques, each with its own private bathroom. The details add up to luxury.
Fresh cut flowers. European bedding, using the finest of linens and plump with
soft white goose down. Bountiful breakfasts. Plenty to do—or not to do, as the
mood strikes.
The Aaronsburg Inn is located on
The Purple Heart Highway (Route 45) in the National Historic District of
Aaronsburg. A refreshing alternative to a typical hotel stay, our B&B is
convenient to the Penn State campus and the University’s sporting and cultural
events. The Centre County region offers every attraction imaginable, from
excellent trout fishing to America's only water cavern. Like the Inn itself, every season here has its charms. Let us
help you find what you seek, whether it's hot-air ballooning lessons, kayaking,
golf, snow skiing or antiquing that pleases you best.
Guest Rooms
There are six guest rooms, two of them adjoining to form a spacious suite. From the period wallpaper to the furnishings and bedding, no effort has been spared to bring you a return to finer things and a more gentle approach to living. Luxury details include cherry canopy beds and the finest European style bedding.
To assure your comfort, your room places temperature and air flow completely under your control. Private baths offer modern convenience without disrupting the sense of history imparted by the early 19th Century color schemes and furnishings.
Each room comfortably sleeps two. A third person may be accommodated in our suite. Several of our guest rooms can also accommodate a third person by means of a rollaway, at an additional charge. One bedroom offering twin beds or a king is available on the first floor.
The Inn today has eight fireplaces. In four of our rooms, guests may enjoy the cheerful play of firelight.
Amenities
Within the privacy of your room, you’ll find amenities worthy of a
five star inn. Either comforting heat or cooling air is available at
the touch of a button. Each room enjoys its own private bath elegantly
appointed with fluffy English towels and hand-made soaps and lotions
created by local artists. Your bed is as enticing as you’ll find in the
finest of accommodations all over the world. European down feather beds
indicate exquisite detail and service, which is our trademark and
ultimate concern. Each room is individually decorated with period
furnishings and attention to historical detail.
At The Aaronsburg Inn, breakfasts are as
elegant as they are memorable. We feature a seasonal selection of the
best local produce, suitable for any appetite. Both Continental and
full American breakfasts are available.
Our pool offers a beautifully landscaped spot
for lazing in the sun. For the more energetic, a dip before breakfast
can do wonders for your appetite. Relax on the terrace, which offers an
enticing view of our private gardens and the amiable company of
hummingbirds and butterflies.
For the business traveler, current technology
and services provide a level of professionalism not often found at
small bed and breakfasts. Wireless Internet, fax and copying service,
television and DVD players provide the conveniences contemporary
visitors have come to expect.
